Accessible Housing

This program provides well maintained, affordable housing for individuals requiring wheelchair accessibility. The Saskatoon Housing Authority offers a combination of housing and services to help individuals maintain independent living.

Pets are not permitted in any of our units; however, persons requiring a service animal will be accommodated.

*SHA does not provide emergency housing.

Rent Determination - Rent Based on Income

Designed for low income households.

Rents are calculated based on a household's gross monthly income. Rent is 30% of lease household income*, which is consistent with the CMHC National Affordability Standard for housing.

Priority is given to applicants with greatest need based on income, current shelter costs, current housing conditions, and whether current housing conditions aggravate a health problem or are unsuitable because of a disability.

Income and Asset Limits apply. Security deposits are required.

Properties

Limited number of accessible units are available in our scattered properties, including semi-detached, single family, multi-family and town house units, as well as units in select Apartment Buildings.
